Set in post-apocalyptic 2018, Terminator Salvation stars Christian Bale as John Connor, the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. But the future Connor was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past.

Well, it is what it is...ignore the plot holes and inconsistencies and it's a reasonable movie.

At least in so far as action flicks go.

On the other hand, if you expect things to make sense then you'll have problems once you start thinking about the movie.

1. Nothing like a little open heart surgery...in the open...with a donor heart...so, in this world where things are scarce...a friend wanted to know what the supply of anti-rejection drugs is like. Not to mention the chance of infection.

2. Skynet apparently know about the connection between kyle and John (Father/son) and has Kyle at the top of the termination list...and yet when Kyle is captured (and identified) by Skynet...he is held prisoner to draw in John.

3. Survivors without look outs so giant steam-punk style machines can sneak up on them.

4. The rebel base hidden but apparently surrounded by killer water snake terminator machines in the swamp.




Meh...it was a fun movie, but the writer/s obviously were not bothered about anything beyond simple it will look good on screen.
